NASSCOM Foundation & DXC Technology Launch Employability Skills Program

DXC Technology and NASSCOM Foundation have joined hands to launch the Employability Skills Program. The program will train 7,500 underserved students from over 35 tier II and III technical and non-technical colleges from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh on artificial intelligence, data science, the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, and UI-UX design.

TMI e2E Academy has been selected as the training partner, along with the NASSCOM and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s ‘Future Skills Prime’ as the training platform for this program. The program already has on boarded 2,500 students and plans to enrol 5,000 more students by the end of August 2021.

Students will undergo 80 hours of blended learning-based curriculum, divided into three hours. Level one will be common for all students where they will undertake a 14-hour ‘Digital 101’ course through Future Skills Prime. The subsequent levels will be tailored to the technology specialisation chosen by the students. The Future Skills Prime portal will also facilitate co-learning through quizzes and forums, encouraging students to share their experiences. 

The students will also receive soft skills training, interview training, communication skills training etc to make them job-ready. NASSCOM Foundation will invite leaders and subject matter experts from across the industry to conduct role model sessions for the students.

At the end of the program, students will work with various companies across the industry for a full month to gain hands-on experience. The winners of the ‘ideation workshop’ will be offered an opportunity to intern with DXC Technology for six months.
