Diplo continues to prove himself as a dynamic force in dance music with his latest track “One By One,” featuring Elderbrook and Andhim.
This slow burner starts off with a simple kick and ambient textures, soon giving way to a warm vocal performance and a clean, textured groove. Swelling synths move in unexpected ways, creating sonic motion and building continuous interest throughout the duration of the production.
Out now on the producer’s own record label, Higher Ground, Diplo reveals this is his favorite song he’s made all year. Given the uplifting tone of “One By One,” it’s easy to hear why he loves it so much.
Diplo’s Higher Ground has become home for his deep house experiments and similarly minded music. The label has seen a number of standout releases in a short time, including Diplo & SIDEPIECE‘s “On My Mind,” “Looking For Me” by Diplo and Paul Woolford featuring Kareen Lomax, “Turn Back Time” by Diplo and Sonny Fodera.
